Introduction

Some of you will remember that during Lent 2016 I wrote a daily set of resources to encourage my own reflection during the period of Lent and also to make these available to anyone else who would like to use all or part of them on their own personal journey through the season.

I found the process a hugely enjoyable and beneficial experience if occassionally a bit tense writing reflections late the day before they were due to be available!

I have decided that I would like to do a similar exercise for Advent this year. To avoid, as much as possible, last minute rushes I have started to write this material much earlier in the year. This has brought with it an additional danger – I have produced far too much material.

So if you want to journey with me I would encourage you to do so but only use the elements of the resources which work for you. Do not feel you have to complete everything I have suggested rather take each day as an opportunity to focus on the pathway to Bethlehem and the stable and use the resources which seem best to fit your own journey on that day.
