Children’s Nativity Songs

Whilst clearing some of my Dad’s papers, I found a running order for a school nativity. In it were two songs I did not know.

I looked up the words and they are Public Domain and the tunes I found are very traditional. They are both have lovely words. So, I have generated a different tune to one using the original words and added two verses to the other and generated a tune for it.

Lift up lightly the stable bar – Lord Maybray-King

This one I just created a gentle folk tune with female vocalist.

A Star was his night light – Elizabeth Fleming (Additional verses Chris Hancock)

This one felt too short so I have written two verses to add to it.
